Founded by George Frisby in 1920 – in a time when few automobiles used pneumatic rubber tires – Frisby Tire grew over several generations to establish itself as a widely recognized name in Ottawa. After my father, Jim Frisby, took over the business from uncle George, he guided the company for 40 years. We now have five locations in the city, all run by the Frisby family. There is a lot of history behind the Frisby name. And we credit our success to two important factors: our expertise, and the way we connect with our customers.

When you come to Frisby Tire, we treat you as a guest. Our staff makes a point of getting to know you and understanding what specific kind of service you require. We have waiting areas available that include TV, reading materials and Wi-fi Internet connection. We even provide a shuttle service for customers who need rides to work after dropping off their cars with us.

Another aspect that makes our company unique is our specialization in tires for family and commercial vehicles. We don't treat tires as just any commodity; we know that expertise is necessary to explain and install tires correctly. Our staff has ample, in-depth knowledge to guide you to the proper tire product or service for your individual situation. Frisby Tire's service technicians undergo a certification program through the Tire Industry Association, which consists of an extensive and thorough training course. They're prepared to tackle whatever problem you have. We take tire knowledge to a higher level.

Frisby Tire has an exemplary selection of quality tires and products in stock. (And if we don't have the product you need, we'll get it.) Three of our stores provide mechanical services, which include regular maintenance as well as work on brakes, suspension, steering and exhaust; we have a special focus on preventive maintenance to make sure you have far less chance of difficulty on the road. Other services include tire storage. We also offer our own road-hazard warranty. If a tire needs replacement due to a puncture or cut that cannot be repaired, we'll replace it on a prorated basis: this service is included in the price of the tire, with no extra charge.

The Frisby family has been fans of the Ottawa Senators for four generations. We've supported the Senators by holding season tickets and promote our company through Senators advertising programs.
